Johnny's Rat Race is the second part of 72th episode and the 144th episode over all.
Summary[]
When Johnny hypnotizes retired lab mouse Montague into helping him in science, he unexpectedly becomes the star of the Dingling Bros. Circus.

Plot[]
Johnny walks into his room in anger and Dukey, reading his newspaper, asked him what's with the tude. Johnny explains to him that he needs a science project by Monday and he's got nothing, and because of his grades, he needs an A+ to pass. After a Rapid idea/rejection scene of which project he should do, Dukey gives Johnny the idea of using a mouse to run a maze and suggests Montague then heads to the lab.
Dukey tells the girls that Johnny wants to burrow Montague, have him run a maze so he can get an A+. Mary and Susan tell Johnny that Montague is a retired mouse not a rat and won't even help them. So Johnny and Dukey go to Montague who is sunbathing and tell him that he needs him to run a maze so he can get an A+ in science but Montague told them he's retired for that life after helping his sisters so much and is enjoying his fun and relaxation. Johnny asks what's more fun than running a maze and he said "Not running one". Dukey asks about his plans for causing anarchy and taking over the world. Montague said they were pipedreams, empty threats and that he's a mouse after all, what could he really do.
Johnny tries his charm as in begging but Montague still refuses. So Johnny and Dukey come with another plan by bribing Montauge with a year supply of stinky french cheese but he won't accept them. The smell causes the birds to fall to the ground. Not giving up, Johnny comes up with another idea which was hypnotising Montague into running the maze and goes back to the lab with Dukey. Johnny and Dukey burrow the mind control helmet while telling the girls who pay no attention to them.
Johnny turns on the mind control helmet and makes Montague fall under his spell which actually worked and nothing will stop him. The Dangling Brothers Circus truck is parked outside the Porkbelly School. Inside, the circus crew are in the assembly hall while depising the free school shows but Dingling the ringmaster told them that this was all they got until they come up with a better way and they need a superstar attraction but wonders where everyone is cos they're on in 10 minutes.
Johnny shows everyone his project and makes Montague run the maze earning himself a A+ by Mr. Teacherman. Johnny also shows them all kinds of tricks like taking a bow making his classmate cheer with joy. Dingling peeks through the classroom to see Johnny having Montague dance, ride and juggle on a tricycle giving him an idea. Dingling sets off the fire alarm sending everyone out of the classroom and helps himself to Montague.
Johnny and Dukey were watching TV when Susan and Mary asked them where Montague is cos he didn't come to bug them for his afternoon cheese. Johnny said Montague is probably relaxing in his science room. Just then, the kids and Dukey see Montague on TV doing circus tricks juggling on a high wire, moonwalking on a lion's tongue and shot out of a cannon. Susan and Mary wondered why Montague is in the circus and hypnotised. Johnny and Dukey say they know about the mind controlling part but the circus one is completely new information.
Montague dives into the cup of water and encourages view to come the Dingling Brothers Circus. Johnny explains to the girls "A+, fire alarm, left mouse in classroom" and suggests they rescue Montague after helping him get an A+. Mary tells Johnny that he's going to do everything she and Susan say since it's his fault which he accepts. So the siblings and Dukey rush to the lab, collects lots of inventions which were good choices and transport themselves to the Circus where Dingling plans to have Montague jumps over 20 alliagators.
The Test crew orders Dingling to back away from their mouse but he refuses and sends the Strongman to destory them. While splitting up into two groups, Susan zaps Dukey into an ape and makes the strongman into an accordion making the audience appuald. The girls reverts Dukey to normal after he throws the strongman away. Johnny chases after Dingling until he grabbed by the acrobats but hypnotises her into putting him down and gets her to catch him too. Johnny controls them to get Montague from the ringmaster but he gets blocked by the tall man and controls his mind into getting the mouse too. The perfomers chases after the ringmaster around and around until they reach the high wire, board on the unicycle and ride across. Dukey and the girls get caught in a net by another performer but Dukey gets turned an ape again and traps her in the net. Dingling brings in the clowns making Dukey freak out and the kids all laugh. The Clown comments the kids haven't laughed in 10 years.
Susan changes Dukey into a pink octopus and he starts tossing all the clowns with his tenactles and into the jack in the box. They hear the kids still cheering. The ringmaster chase was still going on but Johnny gets Dukey to grab him and gives Montague to Mary. Dingling demands to give him Montague but Johnny uses the mind control helmet on the mouse bringing him back to normal. Montague asked what was going on and Susan said it is a long story.
Although Dingling tells Montague he's the big finale, Dukey throws him in the cannon and he gets blasted onto the bicycle, jumps over the alliagator pit and out of the big top. The crowd cheer louder and the kids laugh as Dingling pops up and said "They love us". Susan comments maybe Dingling is not a bad guy and just had a bad show. Mary and Dukey reply "Not anymore!" then they all laugh together but Montague didn't get it as the episode iris out of him.
