Johnny X: A New Beginning is the first part of the 39th episode and is the 77th episode overall. It is the first of a two-part episode.
Summary[]
It's time for the Earth Day Carnival, and the Johnny Stopping Evil Force 5 (with Zizrar replacing the Beekeeper) returns and manages to obtain the same mutant powers as Johnny X and Super Dukey. Meanwhile, Dark Vegan returns to conquer Earth.

Plot[]
The episode begins with Johnny excited for the Earth Day carnival in Porkbelly Central Park, but, his Dad was sad because of a cat stuck down a well, so, Johnny and Dukey head to the lab where Susan and Mary turned them into Johnny X and Super Dukey to save the cat. But, his dad was still sad because there’s another cat stuck in some burning trees and a cat stuck on a train heading for a cliff. Johnny X and Super Dukey used their powers to save the cats. And after saving the third cat, they became exhausted.
It turns out the cat-saving missions turned out to be a ruse by the villains, The Johnny Stopping Evil Force 5, but, Mr. Mittens points out that there are four of them since the Bee Keeper resigned because he likes Johnny now. So, Wacko has a new recruit Zizrar the Mole King.
Dad was glad that the cats are all safe, but, wonders why Johnny and Dukey are so tired. But, then, he got frozen by the villains. Realizing that Johnny and Dudley’s powers were drained from saving the cats, they retreat to the lab.
The girls try to give the heroes more powers, but, the villains intervened and they end up getting powers instead. The girls and the heroes retreat to the escape pod.
Once they land in the ocean, they wonder what to do and Mary realized that there’s someone who has a lab available and that’s Bling Bling Boy, much to Susan’s chagrin.
Bling Bling Boy agrees to have them use the lab, only if Susan goes to the carnival with him and kiss him in the Tunnel of Love on the lips. But, Susan begs to differ when she uses a Lipstick Bling Bling Zapper to freeze Bling Bling, allowing them access to the lab.
After giving Johnny and Dukey new telekinesis powers, they suddenly feel smart and they can see things. They noticed the villains still at the house plotting their next scheme. So, they teleport to the house, but when they get there, the villains are gone. And they notice that the villains are taking over the Earth Day Carnival.
They teleport to the carnival to find the villains and the villains realized that the heroes have new powers and try to escape, but they get captured. First, Johnny easily catches Mr. Mittens and Albert. Then, Dukey catches Zizrar. Then, Wacko fakes surrendering, allowing Brain Freezer to freeze the heroes. It looks as though the villains have won, but Brain Freezer ate a whole pot of chili with baked beans and realizes that he had mutant powers as a result. He explodes and this allows Johnny and Dukey to be unfrozen and use their powers to defeat Wacko and Brain Freezer.
But just when Johnny and Dukey were finally going to enjoy the carnival, another old foe returns to destroy Johnny and the Earth -- Dark Vegan! To be continued... episode ends

- After the events of "Johnny Holiday", it is revealed that The Bee Keeper has resigned from the Johnny Stopping Evil Force 5, with Zizrar taking his place.
- This is Zizrar's first appearance since Johnny's Big Snow Job.
