In August 1964, during the Virtuous Mission, The Pain was reunited with The Boss and her Cobras. The unit, under the employ of GRU Colonel Volgin, captured Soviet rocket scientist Nikolai Stepanovich Sokolov fromTselinoyarsk, USSR, whom CIA agent Naked Snake, was attempting to extract himself. Approaching the suspension bridge in Dolinovodno by helicopter, which Sokolov and Snake were attempting to cross, The Pain distracted Snake with his large swarm of hornets, while his comrade, The Fear, used a zip line to descend from the gunship, and capture Sokolov. After Snake was thrown off the bridge by his former mentor, The Boss, The Pain commented that "the new blood [had] been rejected," and the unit then fled with their prize.

During Naked Snake's return to Tselinoyarsk in Operation Snake Eater, The Pain discovered his whereabouts atBolshaya Past, as Snake duelled with GRU Major Ocelot. The Pain sent out his hornets to scout ahead, and they ended up attacking both men. While Ocelot escaped unharmed, thanks to his fancy gunplay, Snake accidentally fell into the crevice[4] and escaped being stung to death. After traversing the enormous, pitch-black cavern of Chyornaya Peschera, he encountered The Pain in a flooded chamber. The Pain was ultimately defeated by Snake, despite his extraordinary ability to control hornets, where upon his death, his microbomb (with which all of the Cobras were fitted) activated, destroying his corpse and his entire swarm. He was the first of the Cobras to fall in battle with Snake.

Code Talker later researched records regarding the remnants of The Pain's body that could be recovered in an attempt to discover how he could control his swarms of bees.

The Beekeeper (real name Doc Beebles) (voiced by James Arnold Taylor) is a former bee-themed villain in Johnny Test.

Biography

Out of costume, he is Doc Beebles, the maker of Doc Beebles' All-Natural Piles 'O Honey Bars. His debut plot was to use his bees to eat all other candy in the world so his Piles 'O Honey Bars would finally sell; nobody was buying them due to the fact that they were organic (and thus people assumed they were horrible). The Beekeeper did indeed want the kids to be healthier, and his honey bars were in fact decent, as the kids found out at the end of the episode.

His next notable appearance as a solo villain was in "Johnny Holiday". There, the Beekeeper tries to attack the Testsiblings and Dukey many times when they try to make a holiday in the middle of the year where kids receive free candy. Each of his attempts fail, due to the fact that the Test siblings are by this time well prepared for attacks. At the end of the episode, though, he decides to help them out by allowing them to use his honey bars and having his bees drop them off around the world on "Bee Happy" Day. He then has his bees cover the Easter Bunny's lawyers in honeybars and celebrates with the Tests.

The Beekeeper used to be a member of the Johnny Stopping Evil Force 5. However, as he has not been seen since Johnny Holiday and has dropped out of the Johnny Stopping Evil Force 5, he is assumed to be reformed and now likes the Tests. He has been replaced in the force by Zizrar.
